• Keep taxes at current low levels, ensure respect of every tax dollar
• Protect homeowners from costly and restrictive municipal regulations
• Reduce red tape and unnecessary regulations
• Stop wasting taxpayer dollars on studies and consultants
• Carry out a review of the OCP
• Support expansion of bike lanes, establishment of a boat ramp, recreation and cultural facilities

Background:

• Served 4 years on Council
• Third generation Victorian
• Attended Oak Bay high and University of Victoria
• Resident of the peninsula for 38 years and farmed for 25 years
• Experienced businessman, managed a local forest products company
• Semi-retired currently President of family business

Community:

• Served 10 years on board of Greater Victoria Eldercare Council and chaired first fundraising campaign
• Helped raise over $20 million for Victoria Hospital Foundation
• Spearheaded family donation to the University of Victoria W.C. Mearns Centre of Learning
• Worked in support of: The Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation, SPCA, Mary Winspear Centre, Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre, Victoria Land Conservancy, Horth Hill & Gowland Park Trail, Peninsula Streams Society, and the new middle school playground.
